(AZO BACK) Ruth Bancroft Law was a pioneer Aviator who received her pilot's license in November 1912.In 1915 she gave a demonstration of aerobatics at Dayton Beach Florida before a large crowd. She announced that she was going to Loop the Loop for the first time, and proceeded to do so, not once but twice. Ruth Law's greatest feat took place on November 19 1916, when she broke the existing air speed of of 452 miles set by Carstrom. In April 1917, Law campaigned unsuccessfully for women to be allowed to fly military aircraft. Unhappy by her rejection, she wrote an article entitled Let Women Fly.
