And Feel free to ask me any questions you might. Ive taken the best photo. S that I can and tried to describe the item to the best of my ability. So, if you have any questions, please contact me. I found this stunning RPPC in an Old art bag used by a since passed Montana Artist who rubbed shoulders it seems when he was out painting native Americans and saw fit to keep this picture as a keepsake.

CM Russell needs no introduction. (March 19, 1864 October 24, 1926). Was an American artist of the American Old West. He created more than 2,000 paintings of cowboys, Native Americans, and landscapes set in the western United States and in Alberta, Canada.

In addition to bronze sculptures. He is known as "the cowboy artist". And was also a storyteller and author. In 1916, Congress passed legislation to create the Rocky Boy Reservation.

The Gentleman across from him although not quite as famous was just as passionate about painting and had a fair bit of success in his own right. Born March 15, 1873 and died in March 25, 1948 was an American painter and illustrator best known for his portraits of Native Americans. In 1910, Louis W Hill. Met Scheuerle and hired him to create promotional art for the Great Northern Railway.

Including the railway's mountain goat logo. That summer, Scheuerle's work for the Great Northern took him to Glacier National Park In Montana.

On the trip, he took the opportunity to visit the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. And the Little Bighorn Battlefield. Painting portraits of people he met.

Throughout his career, Scheuerle continued to visit tribes in Montana, Oregon. He produced more than two hundred portraits of Native American people along with hundreds of sketches and illustrated letters. So You can understand how excited I got when I discovered this RPPC and who was on it!

This would be a handsome edition to any collection, even of the highest level CM Russell, Montana Western or Significant Historical Collector. I have had this RPPC viewed by a Museum and a knowledgeable life long collector. The Museum said they had never come across this image before and that is was unfamiliar to them.

They did confirm that the gentleman on the left was indeed CM Russell. The collector said this was a Gem and probably the most historical interesting RPPC to come across his desk in a Very Long time. Please feel free to zoom in and inspect this item. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
